Today, we’ll fix the preauthorization payment error on Facebook.
Here goes! Assume you have an account with a running campaign and active bank card, but FB won’t charge the preauthorization payment.
- In that case, you must bind another card with the amount required for preauthorization payment and specify it as the primary payment method.
- Then, go to the Ads Manager and make some small changes in the campaign settings like adding or removing a full stop in the text.
- Go back to the billing section and remove the card from which FB couldn’t charge the preauthorization payment.
- Try to authorize the payment with the new card by clicking “Repeat”. Sometimes you must click “Repeat” several times and if it doesn’t work – repeat in 2-3 minutes.
- That’s it. The preauthorization payment is being debited and the account is unlocked.

Hello, i tried this on 1st account and worked, tried on a second account and don’t work anymore, repeated 4th time with several waiting time between each attempts
