When creating an ad campaign and selecting a Page, the following error message might pop up: “Your ad won’t run on Instagram because the selected Instagram account doesn’t have a profile photo. Add a profile picture on Instagram or select a different account.”
Error message in Russian: «Объявление не будет отображаться в Instagram из-за отсутствия основной фотографии в выбранной учетной записи Instagram. Добавьте основную фотографию или выберите другую учетную запись.»
Error message in Ukrainian: «Оголошення на відображатиметься в Instagram через відсутність основної світлини у вибраному обліковому записі Instagram. Додайте основну світлину або виберіть інший обліковий запис.»
Solution
- You can solve the issue by connecting the Instagram profile to the Page.
Click “Connect account”.
- If you have an Instagram account — login and accept the request from Facebook. If you don’t — sign up with Instagram and accept the request.
- Once you accept Facebook’s request, you must select a profile in the “Instagram account” tab and refresh the page.
