We tested the scheme of passing moderation on Facebook Ads by loading “white” creatives into little-used Placements. We also conducted comparative tests with different verticals to understand the effectiveness of this method.
Scheme description
In this scheme, in addition to the main creative, a neutral creative is used that will 100% pass moderation. It is uploaded to little-used Placements such as Instagram Explore home, Messenger Inbox, Instagram Search results, Facebook Search results, Messenger Stories, Audience Network Native, Banner and interstitial. These placements usually have a minimum percentage of impressions, which doesn’t significantly affect the overall costs. Let’s consider the whole process step-by-step:
- Create an ad campaign and add the main creative to the ad:
- Open the placements, find the required one and click “Edit”:
- Click “Change”:
- Select the ‘white’ creative and click “Save”:
- This way we add it to several placements and send it for moderation:
Effectiveness testing
We tested this scheme on different verticals. After the tests, we noticed that the efficiency of the method depends on several factors: trustworthiness of the account, geo-launch of ads, freshness of the domain, etc. But in general, the scheme works – during its use ads better and faster passed moderation. Let’s look at specific examples:
