Argentina is tightening gambling advertising rules, with every advertisement for betting and online casinos now required to include a risk warning. The new rules will come into force on 3 December 2025, and operators have one month to prepare for them.
The Ministry of Economy (Secretariat of Industry and Trade) has published Resolution No. 446/2025, which establishes uniform rules for the whole of Argentina. The document was signed by the Secretary for Production Coordination, Pablo Agustín Lavín.

Now all gambling advertisements, whether video, banner, or radio commercials, must be simple, understandable, and honest. They must include the company’s contact information, the validity period of the offer, and a clear warning about the possible risks.
“Simplifying advertising messages ensures that consumers fully understand the features, benefits, and risks of the services offered,” the decree emphasises.
Previously, gambling advertising was regulated differently in different provinces of the country. Now, a single national standard is being introduced, which requires warnings about the dangers of gambling addiction and age restrictions to be included.
Each advertisement must include the following statements:
- “Gambling is harmful to your health”
- “18+”
Certain rules are also being introduced for warnings: they must occupy at least 10% of the image height, be located at the bottom of the screen, and be clearly visible – in bold font and contrasting colours, throughout the entire broadcast. There is a separate requirement for radio: the warning must be spoken at the end of the advertisement, clearly and without background music.
Among other things, the new rules will apply not only to operators, but also to those who help them promote gambling. Users will now be able to complain about influencers, athletes, and public figures if they advertise betting without the necessary warnings. Complaints will be considered through the official government portal.
Violators face fines under Consumer Protection Law No. 24,240 and Fair Competition Decree No. 274/2019.
Operators and advertising agencies must bring their campaigns into compliance with the new regulations by 3 December 2025. After that date, violations will be subject to sanctions.
