The Minister of Public Accounts, Laurent Saint-Martin, has made a statement on Radio J this weekend saying that more work is still needed on the law before it can be passed.
He has also emphasized the importance of dialogue between stakeholders, especially representatives of land-based casinos to avoid negative impacts on their operations.
To make a final decision, the government will need to take into account the views of key gambling operators and taxpayers.
