Police in Thailand have arrested two people involved in the operation of an online casino worth more than 400 million baht. Narayut (39 years) and Naroth (33 years) owned the online casino site 69pgslot[.]com, and operated two payment systems Askmepay and Hengpay using which they laundered money.
According to police representatives, all transactions were conducted using QR codes. The monthly turnover of operations was more than 5 billion baht (139 million US dollars).
The police have also established that the casino had been working for 3-4 years, and the payment systems have been functioning for about eight months.
An interesting fact is that one of the accused, Norot, is the eldest son of a former senator known for his scientific research on illegal gambling financing in Thailand.
