We’ve contacted Meta’s technical support and found out what the system considers questionable actions when linking a card.
During the past contact with technical support, we received advice on how to avoid Facebook Policy: https://cpa.rip/en/facebook/avoid-policy-support-tips/
- The card is not issued in the same country where the account is registered.
- The name on the card does not match the administrator.
- The region of the advertising account does not match the region of the bank that issued the card.
- You or other administrators have recently moved/traveled.
- The payment method used in the advertising account belongs to a person who has not been added as an account administrator.
- The payment method in the advertising account was used in a previously hacked advertising account.
- Any of the admins are using a VPN.
We’ve analyzed this list and can conclude that in case of problems with card linking or Risk Payment, it is necessary to pay attention to three main variables – country of account registration, Proxy, and country of card issuance. Ideally, all three of these variables should match. You should also keep in mind how many advertising accounts the card is linked to. It is better to stick to the tactic – 1 advertising account = 1 card.
Here we have collected 11 working ways of linking payment cards to Facebook Ads: https://cpa.rip/en/finance/link-card-to-fb-ads/.
