An updated Search terms and ad combinations report for AI Max search campaigns has appeared in some Google Ads accounts. In it, advertisers can see which queries triggered their ads, which ad headlines and descriptions Google used, and which landing pages users were sent to.
The report also shows how Google matched ads to a specific query. For example, through AI Max expanded query matching or based on landing page content. You can also separately see which headlines and descriptions were added by the advertiser and which were generated by Google.

For those driving traffic through Google Ads, this is an opportunity to check which queries are consuming your budget. For example, you can find queries for which Google serves unsuitable ads or landing pages. You can then add negative keywords, revise ads, or exclude specific URLs.
The ability to match search queries, ad headlines, and landing pages first appeared in 2025. In September 2026, Google announced an expansion of AI Max reporting, and in October, the updated version started appearing in ad accounts. Among other things, it displays the sources used to match queries, ad headlines, and descriptions.
You can find the report in Google Ads, in the Search terms section, by selecting Search terms and ad combinations. This section was previously called Search terms and landing pages from AI Max.
So far, this version of the report has been spotted in at least one ad account. It is unknown when it will become available to other advertisers.
