At the Google I/O conference in May, Gemini Gems, the company’s innovative tool that is an OpenAI GPT Store competitor for creating and using personalized generative chatbots, was presented. The feature will allow users to easily create artificial intelligence-based chatbots that can be individually customized to each user’s personality and requests.
Google said that Gems open up a wide range of possibilities for users, allowing them to write a novel, cook a new dish or develop a mobile app.
“You can create any Gem you dream up: a gym buddy, sous chef, coding partner or creative writing guide. They’re easy to set up, too,” explained Vice President of Google Assistant and Gemini Experiences, Cissy Xiao, in a blog post.
“Simply describe what you want your Gem to do and how you want it to respond — like “you’re my running coach, give me a daily running plan and be positive, upbeat and motivating.” Gemini will take those instructions and, with one click, enhance them to create a Gem that meets your specific needs”, – said in the post.
It’s worth noting that the feature will be available very soon, but you’ll need to subscribe to Gemini Advanced to use it.
