Thai police have arrested 10 people linked to the online casino network gsa9game, which generates more than 3.2 million dollars in annual turnover. The alleged owner was tracked down thanks to a Google Maps pin labeled “office of the leading gambling site in Thailand”.
Following an investigation by Thailand’s cyber police into the online gambling network known as gsa9game — with an annual turnover of more than $3.2 million and around 20,000 users — the court issued 22 arrest warrants. In the first phase, officers detained nine suspects, including site administrators, finance staff, an online advertising manager, and the holders of bank accounts used in the scheme.
The alleged owner, 30-year-old Kasidit, was arrested on November 24 after a search at an address marked in Google Maps as the “office of the leading gambling site in Thailand”.
During questioning, Kasidit said he had been involved in illegal online gambling for six to seven years. He reportedly crossed the border illegally, worked at a casino in a neighboring country, saved money, returned to Thailand, and launched his own platforms. By the time of his arrest, he was running seven websites.
Police seized a white Honda Accord, 11 mobile phones, a computer, gold and gold jewelry worth almost $17,000, branded items, and six bank books. The search for the remaining suspects is ongoing.
