Google has introduced “Platform Properties,” a new type of Search Console property for social networks and video platforms. With them, account owners and content creators will be able to see how posts from social networks and video platforms appear in Google Search and Discover.
Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube are supported. In Search Console, you’ll be able to track queries, impressions, clicks, top-performing posts, and how users find the account on Google.

Several sections will be available within Search Console:
- Performance report – clicks, impressions, and other metrics. Data can be filtered and sorted to understand which posts and queries drive the most traffic.
- Insights report – a general overview of recent traffic trends, top-performing posts, and how users find the account on Google.
- Milestones – tracking account growth and important events, such as reaching a new threshold for total clicks from Google Search over the past 28 days.
To add a new property, open Search Console, select add property, specify one of the available platforms – Instagram, TikTok, X, or YouTube – and complete secure connection authorization.

Google will roll out “Platform Properties” gradually over the coming weeks.
